When the season of Rituraaj (spring) comes, it is as if the whole nature of the world is in its full swing, enjoying and celebrating the youth. Suppose that the entire earth’s makeup is being done. Kavi has put these feelings in the poem and presented it to you.

ऋतुराज-(Rituraaj)

ऋतुराज सजने लगा ,पहन पुष्प का हार,
धरती ने श्रृंगार कर,योवन दीया वार,

योवन दीया वार,महकती आम की डाली,
भंवर करै गुञ्जार,गीत कोयलिया काली,

फसल खिल रही खेत,दीख रही है हरियाली,
पकने पर आ गयी,गेहुं अरु जौ की वाली,

“प्रेमी”पुष्पन कली,जो खिल जाये गी आज,
हुआ शीत का अंत,कि अव आ गया ऋतु राज।

Meaning in English

Rituraaj

spring is making up wearing flower garland

Earth has adorned and on its full youth

fragrance of twigs of mango tree given the youth

Wind is blowing ,Cuckoo is singing

Field is full of crop ,greenry is all around

wheet and jo crop is full ripe

Premi is saying that flower buds now blooming

winter is going ,and it is the coming of Spring.
